How "Real" Is Reality TV?

There are some shows that are "real" reality tv, some that are not and some that are "real fake". Dancing with the Stars is a real live show. You see the joy, the tears, the mess-ups and the fits that people throw because the dancing moves the Stars arent getting right away so they fusterated. You see the Stars mess-up on the dance floor, like Kelly Osbourne messed-up and you could see it on her face and once she knew she messed up, she just let the rest of the dance go. The in a season or two ago when Marie Osmond was the show, everyone saw her forgetting to breath and she fainted right there on the dance floor of course she was done dancing, it was when she was hearing what the judges have to say about her dance. Then one of the hosts, Tom Bergeron said lets go to commerical... like ten seconds after she fainted.... you can see that her dance partner and Tom try to help her out when she was laying on the ground. The other contestants were in the back room waiting for her to come back and to cheer her on for the dance she did and that little quick recovery she made from fainting...now she knows that she has to take a moment a rememeber to breath.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkl695BZjH0
American Idol is another real reality tv show that is flimed live, but when you see the contestant's perform infront of a crowd, they are lip-singing...they record their voices during thier rehersal earlier in the that day....but when the season comes to an end the two contestants that are left are actually really singing...like when Kelly Clarkson won the first season you saw her have joy of tears in her eyes in her final preformance and you can her actually trying to sing the song...so that goes to show how some live tv can be real....or fake in a way....

  2. It's true, my grandma's addicted to dancing with the stars and gets me to vote for her every week. American idol is soooooooooo phony and fake, it basically stopped getting interesting after season 3 when fantasia won. I like your blog.

  6. Maybe I should give DWTS another shot -- because it does show the "real" part of celebs and what they can't do. American Idol was never my cup of tea.
